Whats with what looks like a satnav screen!!!

But it does look good....give it a few years let someone else take the initial depreciation hit then.....

Car looks fabulous,

Re the sat nav, it would appear that porsche have sensibly included this and the chrono package,

Given all the track days people do, they can then use this to annalize themselves on the track.

If you look at this months 911Uk Mag, you will see from the article regarding it, that it is a very useful system for the dedicated track day enthusiast.

The new GT3 revs to 8400!!

Poon how come your not loving the new babe? .. I really didnt want to like the new 3, was sort of hoping it would have the 997 engine and some of the electrical safety thingys other 911 have but if anything this car is an even more focused track/drivers car, have a look...

noteable features:- same GT1 derived dry sump 3.6 L motor- no sunroof- rubber gurney strip on lower rear wing- lower mounting point for front breaks to reduce center of gravity- same brakes (dimension, pistons) as 996 gt3- downforce generated on both axles!- improved brake cooling front and rear- navigation screen built in, ie wont add weight- sports crono thingy - maybe we can use to time laps from the steering wheel!- 415@7600 vs. 381@7400 hp- 405 Nm vs. 386Nm torque- 8400red line vs. 8200- 8.5x19" 235/35-19 front wheels & tires- 12x19" 305/30-19 rear wheels & tires (wider)- clubsport package "no charge" (presumably in europe)- carbon fiber racing seats (look like the CGT seats)- alcantra steering wheel, shifter, seats- Digital speedo under tach in center!- 1395kg vs. 1380kg- 0-100 in 8.7 vs. 9.4

...rob

Rob, its the ext styling I don't like, too fussy. it will probably grow on me in time, actually about 18-24 months when its depreciated enough in value for me to want one

Why for arguably the purist variant have they gone for Boxster exhausts?

The best looking GT3 to date is the MK2 996, prefreably in Red, Yellow or White for me.

With regards C4S, I believe that the list is 996, 993, 997, however I am biast

Colour Yellow.

Why they have got rid of the reflector strip off the 997 I just dont know, the car doesnt look that diffrent to a normal body now, without it.
