New GT3 for 2025 and beyond

So delivery day has arrived, had to get the tracker sorted and reactivated for the Insurance. Gone with Classic line again £1250 including unlimited PCGB Trackdays, 6 any organisation TDs and an extra £224 for Europe Trackdays. No cover for the ring unfortunately. Thought that was pretty good so didn’t ring around as I found CL to be the go to place for the old car. If anyone knows better then let me know?

A few pics of the Carr after preparation

It’s new home for now till spring.
Not had PDK before I would normally leave my car in neutral to stop brake pads binding but can’t take keys out unless in park. Any way round this?

On a slightly more serious note, I always thought P just locks the transmission like leaving a manual in 1st. To use the brakes you would need the handbrake/electronic parking brake button

I only use P when parked, though I use handbrake and N at traffic lights... P as best I understand it ever locked the transmission as Roro stated.

I do not know the electro mechanical operation of the handbrake, though I imagine the system may use voltage to hold it engaged...? If so then it would seem there would be battery losses incurred when parked up, which kinda goes against all the battery saving tec built into all the other systems....?

I think HGV`s on the other hand tend to use a system whereby the brakes require to be held OFF by engine driven systems, and if the system fails, the brakes automatically come ON .

It would be interesting to see a breakdown of the design of the Porsche system..?

Blimey that's gorgeous, that's another example of a colour I might not have immediately picked but in the pictures it looks incredible, I bet in the flesh it's even better.

Stunning.
