New Car Day - Voodoo PTS RS 💙

So further to my thread on selling the 997.2 GT3 and 79 SC targa , today was new car day .

Welcome to this beauty . 991.1 GT3RS in Paint To Sample “Voodoo Blue”. Just 7,092 miles , not new , but nearest I’ve had in terms of condition . Definitely a cherished example , never tracked .

Biblical rain and cold conditions on cup 2 tyres don’t mix . Took it incredibly easy .
More modern interior and gadgets are nice . PDK makes for a less involving experience, But much quicker / smoother than previous 997 GTS PDK

Noise is epic , bonus of a Sharkwerks exhaust was a welcome surprise . Has such presence looking at the huge scoops on rear flanks , and that wing !!

Fantastic, I had a good look at that car when Steve King first swapped his infamous Riviera Blue 993 RS for it.

Did he sell the reg with the car or retain it ?

how were those early 991.1 driving impressions compared to the departing 997.2 GT3

He has retained it. He kindly let me use it for now until his paperwork has gone through

Going onto a very appropriate car I hear

only had a few hours with it, so really are First impressions….

Ride comfort is no harder than 997, dare I say “comfortable” , 918 fixed fit me better than folding buckets.

Electric steering feels bit less direct in comparison, quite light considering 265 front tyres !

Mezger may have pedigree and character, but that 4 litre Flywheel chatters away like somethings about to fall off .

PDK on auto (any model) can be dull .. Legal speeds @ 1500 revs , 5th /6th/7th .. no noise or drama. Drive manual mode, on the paddles …OMFG ..hold the gears in 2nd/3rd/4th …. @sharkwerks singing from 4k to 9k () soundtrack is very exotic … bearing in mind 997 was also sharkwerks

Very special colour - love it.

I can't comprehend why the previous owner would order a GT3RS, with cup 2 tyres, Club sport, etc. and not take in track. Seems a massive waste of it's talent.
