New air filter for a turbo

The air filter on my turbo looks pretty grubby and could do with being replaced. I may well get the car mapped in the near future. A new filter is a good idea generally but seems particular wise if Im going to get the car mapped.

Any suggestions for a replacement air filter? Stick with the OEM filter or go for an aftermarket filter? If so - paper or oil?

Im a little sceptical about K&N type filters and the risk of the oil throwing up errors on the MAF sensor but Im interested to hear the views (good and bad) of anyone who has used one.

Does anyone know a good supplier if I stay with a paper filter?

Cheers

I bought K7N filters for my 997.2 C2s and have no problems - I did wrap them in kitchen roll for 24 hrs to soak up any excess oli as suggested by someone on the forum.

Think you may gain more fitting one as yours is a turbo.....though I am far from an expert

Ok, not a 911, but I ran an ITG filter on my previous car (Audi RS4 2.7T) without it causing any issues with the MAF on that.

If I wasn't intent on keeping the warranty intact on mine, I'd be looking at those.
