About to get some new front tyres - Pirelli PZero I have been offered a better price on N4 fittment than N3 fittment - got N3's on the back - does anyone know the difference between the two compounds

I thought the n numbers went up with release - the compound may be exactly the same but they may have changed the tread pattern or something like that.

I may have to get new fronts soon - what price did you get and for what size if you dont mind me asking?

I beleive it's as the boy Toby said - numbers go up - like a version number. From what research I did is there is very little difference in them in most cases, but generally better to go for the newer (N4) ones - if nothing else at least you know they have been sitting around for a shorter time than the N3's.

They are pretty good - quoted me:

Pirelli 225/40Z18 N4 £145 each

Including fitting, VAT and balancing!

Although the same tyre from mytyres.co.uk come out at £121.90 including vat and delivery - should be able to get them fitted for less thn 25 quid each!
