Mystery disconnected hose in battery area...?

I've come across this disconnected hose and can't see or think what it might be for, thought maybe it was for the window washers but they're both working fine.

I would guess it's popped down from something above around the level of the washers/wipers etc and it feeds down somewhere below the battery tray.

I've recently had a new windscreen fitted therefore maybe it was dislodged then??

Any ideas please..?

Thanks!

Breather pipe from battery from memory. Plug it back in, job done.

Thanks both! I don't think the current battery has a breather nipple but regardless am swapping in a new battery shortly therefore will double-check the new one then.

Thanks again!

The original battery would have had a vent nipple. Many after market fitments don't.
