who would have thought that a long chat over the new 997 back in May would turn my 2001 Audi TT into this....

Since the start of June i've been milling around here and the odd other place...

and here we are.....

btw to share.... 570 miles each way...

TT on the way (patches of heavy fog) average of 64 mph & 30.4 mpg down there

993 way back (patches of heavy rain)..... average of 67 mph & 26.2 mpg back !

SO on the motorway.... the 993 have been a huge surprise in the FUEL ECONOMY stakes... I was NEVER EXPECTING THAT !!!!!!

so far.. best choice i've ever made... JUST CAN'T STOP DRIVING !!!

My Manual 1996 Metallic Black 993 Targa with a Black Leather Interior..

Very nice, is that the RS or turbo front splitter? What options has it got?

You'll have to give me a ride sometime ;-)

I actually dont know ! my guess is that it is the RS front splitter.. I was hoping someone would know... !

it's just like the one on that high mileage 993 as featured in this months '991porsche&world' they refer to it as a 'porsche exclusive front splitter'..

as for the options... again a tricky one ! sorry .. as I dont know what was standard on the 96 targa !

but it has... based on what looks different..

1. Porsche CD autochange up front

2. Rear 3 quarters window is tinted

3. Aluminum detailing on Handbrake / Gear Lever and Gauge Bezels

and that's it .. assuming everything else was standard !

assuming this works.. here's a closer pic of the front.. and i've added more brightness to it (pic quality is lower) to show up the front splitter !

Yeah I think it's the non clubsport RS splitter. It's almost the same as poon's but you've got some lights where he's got holes. Is this aerokit II poon? Show us a pic of the front of your car pls stuart ;-)

aye...

UPDATE on the front pieces.. Car has just come back from Tognola Engineering after a day in the care of Greg !

It's a TECH ART front splitter and I hadnt noticed (!) that it also has TECH ART side skirts ! (I thought it looked different!)

we have a match.... although having just read that they are made of fibre glass.... more of a reason to be careful over those bumpy english roads !
