Nice looking car, 18" Alloys, tear drop mirrors, lowered suspention, clear lenses, and a cup exhaust, very nice

The wheels are 17" Sport Classics, Porsche seem to do these in 17 & 18" Apparently the 964's don't really like the 18's. They look different to most 964's and I think they suit the car. I have been on the lookout for some cups though, would like to have another set of wheels for the track.

nice car......

as for the extra set, it depends on what you really want to do... cup alloys are lighter and then there are always the cup tyres...

and 17's are fine for the 964 on track... and I seem to manage with 17's on mine..

Cheers, I like it! Have had it for nearly a year now.

Cup tyres? Do you mean the standard tyres which come on a 964?

I did notice the discussion regarding Gaurds Red!! One of the reasons I posted the pics! When I was looking, I actually wanted a silver or black one, but went for condition over colour. I'm glad I did because when its polished up it looks great!

rather the softer road legal tyres used by track day regulars i.e Michelin Pilot Cup, Dunlop SSR's, etc

but harder OEM tyres are just fine if you have a smooth track day technique...

Nice car, somehow looks good in G Red, not normally a G red fan myself. The problem with G red is you have to keep it shiny to look good! The green background really sets the red off nicely!

I do like Guards Red on 964s

Sundeep:
I've got Michelin Pilot Sports on it at the moment. I have no complaints with them, but will probably change to Bridgestones or Conti's when the time comes. The Pilot Sports seem to be a fair amount more expensive and some of the guys on other forums seem to think that the Bridgestones or Conti's are just as good. What recommendations would you guys (and gals!!) give?

Butzi:
Cheers! I wasn't a fan of Guards Red if i'm honest either! When I saw it though, had to have it!! Looked so good all polished up, it does need regular cleaning though and i'm thinking of having the Zymol treatment soon! I was really chuffed with the photo's, one of my photographer friends took them for me.

Nicola:
Cheers!! It does seem to suit the car!!

Will see some of you at the track day in Wales!! Anyone driving from the Cambridge direction? If so, maybe go in convoy?
