Hi all,

I'm thinking about selling my (never fitted to my car) rare momo porsche design steering wheel with momo hub and full fitment kit for horn and airbag delete etc. All you need to put this wheel on your 996, 986,944,968 or 964.

I believe only 450 of these wheels were made, they came in two designs, one with a momo logo on the left spoke and one without, this is the latter.

The originals came with a (imo ugly) horn pad that covered the central boss, this doesnt have that but Im pretty sure Dave the Trimmer has repo ones you can get if you desperately want one

I will be the first to concede the steering wheel is not mint / NOS level of quality, its clearly led a life and has had a respray - you can see as the porsche design logo was masked off when sprayed, TBH i like the patina but if you're after a bangle for your garage queen - this aint for you (unless you want to have it restored......). When I got it the leather was fully knackered so I had it retrimmed in alcantara by royal steering wheels. Some may see this as sacrilidge, some may love it (i do) but there you go.

Horn button is in the post, so hence the stock photos, will update when it arrives. Note - not a momo horn button.

Looking on ebay, there are a few steering wheel only for sale rangeing from £1100 - £2000.

I'm selling to raise funds for a recaro pole position Abe seat (in leather, not suede / alcantara) so if in the long shot there is anyone out there with a shed full of these seats i'd be very much open to a barter.

But I think £1200 ono would be a good place to start.

Pick up London or can post

Cheers

Wow, super rare these days and damned expensive too......these were changing hands 10 years ago for thousands.....!!!!!

bumping back to the top to be on the xmas list for those looking for a present for a 996 owner who has everything (including impeccable taste)

I know it's new but do you have a reference photo of one mounted?

Cheers

Bump for an amazing wheel. I have one .
Incorrectly fitted horn push. Should sit flush.

I really don't get the big ask for that steering wheel. I don't think it looks as good as a prototipo but each to their own! I suppose it would have sold ages ago if their was much demand!
