It's been all quite on here for a while.
So I've been doing some fag packet maths.
For the middle landers amongst us.
With the trip to Calais and back and the drive down to Santander
We are looking at 5000 miles

So we need to arrange service schedule and tyre change mid-way round?

Are you sure your not getting your miles and kilometres mixed up?

That seems a long way.

500 miles a day?

Surely that can't be right.

:dont know:

I'm going on 1030 brum to Santander then the mileage jackal put in for the rest of the trip back to Calais. Then Calais to brum total 4520 direct route from calais to la rochelle which we are not taking

Day 1 Shilton towers to La Rochelle = 680 miles  that's a long day for you at 70mph that's 10 hrs without breaky, lunch or dinner or without fuel stops or potty stops not to mention traffic

A good job I won't be doing 70 mph then!

Plenty of time for a break under the water.

Chimps bound to be there first, and will have the drinks in.

Gurpal reckons he's quick too, but god knows what direction he will have gone in!

And of course Jackal might up up there in his sunshine GT3.

Day 10 Badeb Baden to Brum Brum 680 miles :puh:

......I will need airlifted back to the UK after 3k miles

Seems a bit too many miles, given the amount of days we have.

Even a GT2 with a warp speed button can't hack it.

Ring the Porsche factory and arrange a new set of rear boots while we are passing :bandit:

Sorry mate I've got petes spare engine he has the appropriate ramps and jacks . You bringing some spanners right??

Yip.....I have assigned my 1/4 drive socket and hex set + big hammer as most parts on a 964 are rusted solid and the hammer is usually the best option :floor:

5000 miles will be tough on man and machine..... I'd better get in training
