Mileage discrepancy

BCA had uncovered the mileage issue in 2017 - they then sold it with full disclosure of the discrepancy to a since defunct Indy - and I picked it up 2 owners later. From my recollection of the history of the defunct Indy I suspect they sold it on probably without the mileage discrepancy disclosure. The Indy I since bought it from is reputable and have now offered some level of compromise agreement. I’m happy with that. Strange that OPC don’t check the ECU imo. HPI check only apparently.

The OPC will have very little interest in interrogating too deeply a car they're sending to the block at the best of times let alone when they have a customer's signature to state the mileage is correct. Had BCA not had previous experience of the car they would have probably just punted it down the line and hoped for the best. To be honest I'm surprised a 996 would go through with warranted mileage anyway.

Glad you've come to a satisfactory agreement with the Indy. Onwards and upwards with getting on with enjoying the 991...
