Hi all,

Just wondered, what is the maximum number of keys which can be programmed to 1 car?

Cheers

Two (at any one time)

If you purchase a new one (ie old one lost/broken), the old one will need to be deleted from the DME pairing using PIWIS.

Actually there is a capacity for coding in up to 4 keys.

Hope that helps
Cheers

Ahh.. ok that's even better!

I thought it was a little silly to only have the facility to have 2 keys...

is there any additional cost for more than two keys?

I may have been thinking of the 996 remote pairing.

I mean the remote key fobs + the skeleton key....

I recently got a remote head and got a key cut and wanted the porsche centre to code it up... I have three remotes in total.

Editted above as you replied.

Although, wrt the imobiliser pairing I mentioned (before edit), that has always been more than the fob pairing as it allows "dumb" keys (skeleton/valet keys) even on the 996.
