Manual Adjustment Headlamp Leveliing

My 2000 C2 does not have automatic headlamp levelling!

It has a rotary knob next to the light switch to adjust headlamps to compensate for load variations.

Unfortunately this knob, when turned is not doing anything. To enable me to investigate, can any of you wise ones tell me how the system is configured - - motors, fuses etc and where in the car they maybe found?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I have now removed one of my headlamps to investigate why the dash mounted headlamp levelling switch appears to do nothing. Surprise, surprise there is nothing there .
Can anyone enlighten me as to what may have gone on here and/or provide a picture of what things should look like in the headlamp?

They are supposed to adjust via the dial on the dash next to the light switch. The post relates to old fashion manual adjustment at of the headlamp carrier.
By the way, cannot upload photos to show back of my headlamp for example - issue since new format!
Thanks.

add images via attach files below or insert image on the menu

if you auto adjustment isn't working, worth checking if it a specific lamp of the electrics itself, worth also checking the fuses

Could be but they have 996 part numbers for adjustable lamps! Sadly the forum system doesn’t seem to want to load my pictures for some reason even though I am following the correct procedure!

OK, so maybe they were in a Boxster at some point and the motors removed? Are they clear/clear?

OK, given up and deleted the control knob and replaced with blanking plug. One less thing to worry about!
