Seen a lovely 993 C4S on the site for sale... low miles, the right colours, a really stunning looking car.

However, it is all the money- £39k.

Do you reckon you'd lose a fortune on a car like this, assuming it remained an immac low miles car?

R.

theres the rub, to keep its value, you have to not use it,

gty it will hold value if the miles are very low, and condition and history strong

I don't quite get the point of buying a car not to drive it much - but then maybe I'm not rich enough (yet!). :D

but that makes the other one with 57k up at £37k overpriced !

Indeed... more pics on PH.

Seems a bit daft to pay up for a car you can't use as you say. Even if you put 5k on it a year it would still be a relatively low miles car in 10 yrs.

Last time I said £39995 was too much for a C4S it sold within 1 day of being advertised!

Depends how many miles a year you do in it?

Even if you doubled it's mileage to 42k, it'll still be a low mileage example! As ever much depends on how the 993 market holds up in the future. It seems to be quite stable from what I can see, and widebodies are always going to be sort after models, so I doubt it'll lose too much on it's value.

My only comment would be over the interior. Cashmere IMO is not one of the sort after colours in a 993, and this one also seems to have a blue dash! I think this may dent it's desirability to many come resale.

*edit* just seen the interior shots on PH - actually works quite well. Although I still think it will be a Marmite interior to many - you either love it or hate it!

Car looks minty mint too! Go for it Robert!

re the interior.............it might look quite smart if the carpets and dash are blue and the seats cashmere..........the blue dash was one thing I thought would put me off mine........1 year down the line and its never once had me thinking off wishing it was anything else

edit..........just looked it up on Pistonheads............I must say I like that interior

this was the reason he told me when I was buying them off him..........

"I've replaced the RSR's with a pair of Dansk "for racing only" mufflers, which although louder than the RSR's are not as loud as their name implies."

ER Hello

Time I entered the discussion here I think.

Yes it WAS my car. Chap came up last night from Brighton and bought it in the dark, without driving it, without a PPI AND at the full asking price - if he produces the money that is! Good job for him it is as good as the advert says.

He had previously missed a 993 C4S whilst flying up to Scotland to look at it and therefore jumped in his car for a 7 hr return drive to look at it and in so doing beat other more cautious potential buyers.

Don't have time this morning to talk about the Dansk exhausts (cannot recommend them enough), reason for low mileage etc. but if anyone expresses an interest on here I will join in again this evening.

Jo
