Loud ticking after fitting tandem pump

Finally got the old one off and new one on. Is this sound from the tandem pump?
Doesn’t sound normal but not started The car with the bumper, shields and CAT off before!

I'm pretty sure your hearing exhaust noise. To clarify where the noise is grab a spanner and press against the tandem pump to have a listen.

Great that you got it sorted out.

I tended to use a long bladed screwdriver with the handle pressed against my ear.... or if an awkward location and trying to differentiate sounds in a noisy engine bay, I use a length of tubing with one end at my ear and move the other end around the various components.as a means of gaining a better idea of issues.
The tube method is a left over from balancing carb set up`s in times past, by listening to the intake sound at the mouth of each intake...
