Looking for a 996 Carrera badge in chrone

Hi all

I'm posting in general discussion as it may be a part from another model 911.

According to factory spec my 996.2 convertible was supplied with a black Carrera badge on the engine lid.

However when I bought it it had a chrome Carrera badge. And I really like the look.

I need to replace it as some git tried to pry it off and while he didn't damage the paint he did damage the badge.

I've had no joy with a Porsche dealer so I figured I'd ask the real experts

It's dimensions are 26cm wide and the lowercase letters are 2cm high.

Any suggestions?

Hi all. Thanks for the replies

Porsche can supply a black one but I think I like the chrome one and finding one that has very good but thin adhesive is proving tricky..

I did get an aftermarket one but the adhesive was quite thick and I feel it will sit too proud of the engine cover.

So OEM chrome is what I want as the adhesive is thinner and should do the job without issue.

I've also tried a well known Porsche parts supplier and they don't have one in the correct size.

Apologies, with you mentioning the car had a black script from factory I assumed you wanted black.

Yes. D911 and my credit card are well acquainted . But they don't seem to have the chrome badge in the correct size. I think I'll have to settle for silver, black or de-badged

Some varied and sometimes unless advise been given on this but a chrome badge would be for a 991, not sure if the size is the same as yours but only £33 from a OPC. Etsy might be able to help if that badge is too small

I'm a bit nervous of spurious products as I don't want it coming off and taking some paint with it as I hoon it around the hills

However I suspect that the chrome one that is on it is aftermarket as the OPC can't find one on the system and most if not all standard 996.2's seem to have come with a black Carrera badge.

It's 26cm wide and the lower case letters (arrera) are 2cm high. The 991 badge is a lot smaller. Maybe 2/3rds the size
