What is it like?

Thinking of a new (ish) C4 cabrio and wonder how they compare to the coupe. Wind noise, ease of fitting the hardtop in winter, residuals etc etc.

Ta very much.

Have you sold the C4S already?

4s for a cabrio? Say it aint so? You posted a thread about losing money on cars, surely then you'd sell a coupe in the winter when demand is greater than for cabs, and buy the cab in the winter when demand is lowest? Jesus footballers waste money! :D
I know peoples circumstances change but the depriciation on a 4s shouldn't change greatly from now till october as long as the miles are sensible, then you should be able to pick a cab up for around £2k-£4k cheaper than in the summer months.

Thanks you two.. I am getting good at wasting money!!!

Missing the 4S (predictably) and have thought about another .. how's that for a crap decision. Anyway, only thinking about the cabrio because it seems pathetic to sell then buy the same thing for more.

Mind you, the C4S did not have the sports exhaust so I could get one with that which would give me more than I had. Anyone heard that they are now fitting them as switchable?

Thanks again - deep down I probably know I'll not get a cabrio.

Got the sports exhaust on mine and its switchable, had the over ride done so it doesnt go girly between 25mph-40mph. Coupe is where its at my friend, although not sure how long you'll have to wait to get your hands on your own spec'd one?! Have YOU Thought about putting a deposit down on the late 2004 997 and getting a v plate 996 to use till then, shouldn't lose to much cash on it till the new shape arrives?

Noony...... was suggesting that costa buys a v plate 996, I would never consider selling j-lo! I feel sick a the very thought!

bloody fantastic!!!!!!!!! have now done 200 miles mostly topless and I'm still grinning. Nothing beats the involvement of driving roof down with the sun blazing.

However, the hardtop is pain in the arse as I have to find somewhere safe to keep it. The hardtop is also too awkward and heavy for one person to carry and I now have to shell out for a sh*t looking stand to keep it on....

Thanks JimJam - glad you like it so much! I suppose at least you only need the hardtop on/off once a year.

Are you in a garage - I have heard of some people using pulley systems from the rafters !!!

Have a garage, looking at getting a wall mountign kit to tuck the htop away on a wall
