I have been browsing the for sale sections in Autotrader, Pistonheads and of course a host of used car reseller sites and cannot believe the number of LHD cars around! I would not like to put a figure on the percentage but it seems like a lot of LHD's are on the street in the UK and the price is not particularly low!

The thought of shipping my car over is even more exciting now....

source me a cheap white boxster, blue hood, blue leather, LHD/RHD, tip or manual, 2.7 or 3.2 and I'll share the container costs

Nicola, if you don't mind Tip, not a problem, sharing a container could be the way to go. If I register a car in my name for 6 months then ship it to over - you will save a heck a lot of money on taxes and duties......happy to do that.

plenty available but just spent an hour looking for second hand ones - not particularly cheap actually! Seems like the 1 or 2 year old cars are the bargain but they seem to hold their value quite well.....

There was a base 987 RHD manual black on black 2.7 - fully optioned ( GBP 12,000 worth of options) with 2,000 miles on the clock and at only GBP 27,000! No bashes no dings!

Do you know what a ballpark figure on delivery would be?

Container and customs clearance would be about USD 2,500 from Tokyo to Felixstowe.
