...I've been reading here & elsewhere about acknowledging other Porsche owners on the road & then this morning started realising that if I did that I'd either have my hands permanently off the wheel or have my main beams on permanently...so tomorrow instead of getting totally bored driving in to work I have decided to conduct a census of the number of Porsches I see.

It's a 27 mile journey from Ascot to Hammersmith along the M4.

My guess is it will be be around 12 Boxsters, 15 911's, 6 Cayennes, 2 Caymans & 2 944/924's. And I'll be excluding those I see in Chiswick OPC & mine that will stay in the garage.

I see loads of Porsches on my daily commute.....

I don't think they see me waving at them from the top deck of the bus though

Oi, what else can I do on a boring 30 mile commute....will make a change from counting the number of time I get cut up or counting the number of t****rs on the road......at least I've not extended this to going round counting the number in the gym car park tonite or the golf club car park on Saturday. :)

Off to India Rob? Wow! What you will be doing there? Apparently, Porsche are selling in India now - try to count the number you see in Bombay! That'll be more of a challenge!

I can safley say that I don't see another prosche ever on my way from Stratford to Gloucester.

Average Joe in Ascot must have a few more quid than around my neck of the woods.

My in-laws live in Sunningdale - it's very nice down there - Rob are you going to Ascot for the races this year?

Have gone about this before, but will again cos it pi$$es me off. In first few months of ownership i tried acknowledging all other other porkers to no avail until my wife told me to stop making a prat of myself.

However couple of weeks ago i got waved to by a lovely 993C2 and was very happy to wave back. Actually made my day...sad but gave me hope that not all Porker drivers in London are
tw@ts
...

Last time I was out in Tara had a 25% success rate

ignored by 2 996 drivers and a woman in a 986. :(

but got a flash (of the headlamps, before you start) and a friendly wave from a chap in a 964 cabbie..... :D

Ah, I'll wave at ya mate!

Here in Tokyo, same most Porsche owners don't acknowledge each other! I always have a good look, especially at 993's.

I always - and this is no lie - and offer to race Ferrari drivers - I told one guy I will give him my car if he can keep up with me - they all chicken out! Only a 355 took me up and lost! That was in me 996.
