Is this plate original behind the firewall on my 964?

Hey,

I have just finished lubricating the front right blower and just about to fit everything back but I just wanted to know if this metal plate with a module on it original?
It seems somewhat out of place just placed behind the firewall.

Cheers

Alex

Yup that's normal .. its a heat sink for the control unit bolted to it .

It should be attached to the bulkhead you have removed .

Cheers and just putting a couple of nut and bolts through it to secure it in place.

The bolt that was there was quite short, I mean the one holding the L bracket for the carpet popper. I just managed to get a spring washer on the back side.
Probably not original way, but hopefully it won't vibrate loose.

Thanks again for your help.

Alex
