Hello

I am interested in looking at a 911 for sale at Scottish Motor Svs in Glasgow but I know nothing about 911's or Scottish Motor svs to be honest.

I am hoping an expert lives in or near Glasgow and would be happy to meet me there and give it the once, twice over to make sure "it's a good an" not "an old nail"??

Being a girl I fear a salesman would rub his hands together and think he can feed me any old rubbish. I dont expect this service to be free as the end reult could save me a fortune.

Has anyone heard anything good or bad about this company?

Thanks :D

What are you looking for?

Must be a pretty special car to want to go all the way to Scotland from Silverstone...

Thanks for the quick response. copy and paste this address.

www.dealer.autotrader.co.uk/_scottish.htm

I am looking at the E-plate 911 it has a flat nose conversion which the guy says is all been done properly but as I said I know nothing about 911, conversions or this garage.

not really my cup of char tbh......but each to their own as i recall this is yer dream motor, best thing to do is ask the garage to pop it into the glasgow OPC(obviously at your expense) for an inspection,if he's non too keen then i'd stay far away from it,if its sound then he should have no probs..........if he offers to use his "garage" to check it out i'd still demand that an OPC checks it out

Are you particularly looking for a flat nose? It dosen't look like it's the "proper" Porsche flat nose turbo imitation either, more sort of a "Max Power" kind of thing. Cool if it's what you really want but it'll not be easy to sell!

oh and was just about to say......Butzi beat me to it :D
.....its not a flatnose either..............just a Zeemax conversion which tbh is Naff

best wait for a proper replica or buy a wide body Carrera 3.2 in the interim.should be easier for you to sell on when your dream 911 comes along

I wouldnt advise anyone to buy a Zeemax converted car

Remember my moto its not the car you buy today but the one you have to sell in 3 years time which determines your depreciation and your running costs,

A zeemax conversion means a story to tell

The same money could buy you a really nice 3.2 Carrera Supersport (widebody) which will be a good deal easier to sell as mark says.

The fact is that the dealer has taken £2k off the asking which must mean he's been stuck with it for a while.

Are you still looking for a Flatnose?

i agree with the above comments -buy something that hasnt been messed with - you will be better off in the long run - unless of course you want a Zeemax conversion???

The price of that shows that the one is glasgow is expensive IMO.

911 Virgin have a straight reputation too amongst Porsche folk- just don't be offended if the chap you speak to is a little more brusque than you might expect!
