How to remove DRLs on a Gen 2 997

I tried to remove my DRL but couldn't make them budge. On my previous car, a 997.1, I was able to remove them quite easily both with the Porsche card and a plastic trim removal tool but on my 997.2 I'm completely stumped.
I could feel the click of the locking tab release when I inserted the car but I simply couldn't pull the light from it's housing.

Is there a knack or have is the process different between the gen1 and gen2?

Thx

If I recall correctly its a bumper off job on the 997.2
Thanks for confirming this, someone else on FB confirmed the same. That's annoying and seems overkill.

Nice to see you here too Fred 😁
PU off and clean between the rads and condensers, then mesh on the back 👍

Great idea, I’ve had a go at the rads from the front but I guess it will be a lot better with the bumper off! Mesh too is on my list.
