Hi folks, can anyone advise how to replace the water temp sensor on an 08 911TT?? The sensor is just behind the alternator, and basically below the inlet manifold to the heads.

The new sensor has a 22mm nut with the electrical connector on the end. It seems you need a "flexible/bendy" long 22mm (spark plug type) socket.

Does anyone know what tool do I need, or do I need to remove other bits? Alternator? inlet Manifiold (please don't tell me that)? etc

cheers
John

Should be a simple case of disconnect the wire & remove it with a deep socket.
Not near the car just now so can't go & look.

You might need to top up & bleed it again afterwards.

Unfortunately I couldn't get a deep socket down there and the socket driver on top. It fouled on the inlet manifold above it. Hence the modified "long" socket which I reduced in length and modded so I could get a ratchet ring spanner on it.

cheers
John
