hot engine smell

WhenI get out of my 1999 - 996 the rear end smells very hot / burning. The car runs fine, the temperature is fine, hardly going above 80 unless bloody hot. Using no oil. good oil presuure. Is this something I should expect.

I actually live in Farnham Common - NORTH of SLOUGH AND WINDSOR, but no one has ever heard of it, or they think its in Surrey.

Just check to be on the safe side, that the exhaust is not touching any plastic any where, or that the tyres are not rubbing anywhere.

Well I play golf just round the corner from you in Burnham, the smells & heat worried me at 1st too then I realised it was fairly normal.
