Hissing sound from vents

For the past month I've had a hissing sound coming from the vents at the front and when turning off the AC it stops.

Then 2 weeks ago my AC stopped blowing cold so I got a refill but the hissing sound has continued. Currently I have cold AC but this annoying AC sound.

After doing some research it usually causes by low gas but as I've had a refill and it still works I'm assuming it's not that.

I've had zunsport grills on for the past 3 years so can't imagine a stone has damaged the condensers either.

Does anyone hav any ideas what it could be?

usually that noise is an indication of low gas, worth getting the levels checked

I had something very similar eg a hissing and no cooling. Had the gas topped up which only lasted a couple of weeks.

Turned out to be a tiny pinhole in one of the AC pipes. Took ages to find and cost just under £1k to test, trace and fix.

Thanks, did you have warranty? I know the condensers probably wouldn't be covered but I'm wondering if the pipes would?

Probably shouldn't put the Mrs in the glovebox. That usually sets off more than a hissing sound from her round here
