I’m looking at an Atlantic blue 996.1 CAT S car listed for sale at the moment.

It was written off in April 2018, with the reg P80 PDE. Had 92k miles at the time. Now running as S319 SBD.

The vendor has no evidence of the accident damage or the repair, hence I thought I’d try my luck on here in case anyone knew the car! I think the owner at the time of the accident was Yorkshire based and an enthusiast so it’s possible they’re on here.

Here’s a couple of pics of the inside of the front wings. Is the yellow smudge factory or evidence of repair here?

Thanks!

M7 98 Cab manual is a former accident damaged. It was rear offside quarter and you can see the door and inner rear wing are a different colour inside.
It meant I got it cheaper and to be honest, it must have been repaired well, as it was done 15 or so years ago and has passed 15 x MOT's since and no problems are obvious now, other than the blow over paint job not being the best, so will be done soon.
If it's been done right, I don't see an issue, other than lower resale value. Not an issue for me as I plan on keeping it long term.

that's the issue with accident damage from the past, it becomes harder to validate over time

but as long as it has been repaired correctly and passes MOT consistently with the car's value reflecting this then long live the car
