Hi all,
I need your help in trying to replace a likely cheap, but hard to find part.
I had a bit of play in my steering and the garage found that there is a plastic sleeve that fits round where the steering column meets the rack assembly just above the pedals. This sleeve as disintergrated and trying to find a replacement has been hard. I dont think it has a part number and Its not shown as an individual item on the parts diagram. I've seen a few posts talking about this breaking but none on how to replace. Has anyone replaced this and know where to get one? Ideally I dont what to buy a whole new column just to replce this.

Some pics attached

I've tried the usual sources, someone must have bought one of these before!

Thanks

worth giving Design911 a call to see if they can source one

I had exactly the same problem and repaired it with a little help from a friend.

I replaced the whole section, plenty of them on eBay, very cheap too. I loosened the steering rack and lowered the subframe, slotted the replacement part in from the cabin side then brought the rack up to meet it. Quite fiddly and awkward, removed the driver seat and steering wheel to give better access.

hope that helps, feel free to send me a pm if you need anymore info
