I use a thick dog blanket in my 911. The only seat covers I saw (not OPC ones) were very thin and I thought the pooch would still scratch the leather though them. Then again my dog is six stone.

The blankets seemed to offer more protection and wrapped completely round the seat.

I am very keen to get a Dog, but have not yet managed to convince my wife that if we get one we will need to get another car to save the 911 from dog destruction.
Can you really avoid mucky paw prints and muchos hair everywhere?

I bought Gem a Corrado as Dog Walking car, but she just sits on still on the passanger seat. So the Corrado went. She does lick the window now and then.. I keep telling her a 911 is not a window lickers car ! :p

Get a dog that doesn't lose hair and clean paws before they get into the car! Rufus, doesn't chew luckily, but I have got nose marks on the glass - he likes teh 3/4s at the back though

My two year old son licks the windows too, and he sucks his fingers and then wipes them all over the windows. Maybe I should swap him for a dog!

It would be cheaper, but not sure the RSPCC would approve!

My two puppies travel in a 206 and we are currently hunting for a Honda CRV to transport them when they get bigger.

Nothing that drools, sheds or pukes comes within a 50 yard defensive perimeter of the 993! I've had the XC90 since April and can't believe the state of the inside after the attentions of 3 dogs and 2 teenagers

How cool is top gear Dog..

All you will have to do is teach pooch to sit still, and get a nice car seat cover.

If you take him/her out with the roof down, you can buy a doggie seat belt so they don't jump out.

Any pics of the dog ?

Get a doggie seat belt anyway, roof on or off. Brake hard from even 30mph (and my guess is you drive you Boxster a bit faster than that) and you can easily kill a large dog. Dogs in cars should either be belted or caged.

Labradoodles are great dogs. I rekon they should become an official breed. They are very smart and make excellent working dogs. They do shed hair a bit but not excessively. Also make good house pets. Being intelligent watch out for boredom which could lead to chewing.
