Has anyone got a pic of a 997 on 997.1 Turbo wheels?

Hi. Im thinking of putting 997.1 turbo (copy) wheels on my 997.1 basalt black C2. It currently has 18" Carrera III (I think). Im keen to improve the aesthetics of the car, and think it would suit 19s better.

If anyone can post up pics of such a creature, or similar that would be great thanks :) I did have a google, but after half a dozen pages of random pics I got a little bored so thought I would see if anyone here has pics they can share with me :)

Comments about whether spacers would improve the look or stick out too far, or whether they will just look odd on the C2 are welcome too. The car does have PASM although Im not entirely sure if this means it sits differently on the road to a non-PASM C2 [shrug].

Thanks in advance - Im looking forward to seeing whatever you can help me out with :)

Thanks Zantaz, I did read the thread about being wary of them.

I was sitting between PeterS (someone who suggested that they should be avoided in that thread you linked) and the man selling me the wheels last night, who maintains that there is little difference in the feel of the wheels (he also has a set of genuine) or little or no difference in weight.
I was slightly worried about the ideas mentioned here, but Im not entirely sure I believe that it would make a massive difference. I'll pop them on, give them an aesthetic appraisal and then try them out, if they feel effing 'orrible then I will take them off :)

Any more pics/comments?

Is this what you are after?
The last three are my car and the first is one I found on the web.

As Zantaz points out I did borrow a set of genuine Turbo alloys from Exel for a few days and noticed they were possibly quite the best wheels to be fitted to a 997 in dynamic terms (better handling, manoeuvre, fuel economy etc). Sausage, you could do worse than to find out how much Exel is willing to sell those genuine items or possibly do a part-ex (like I did) and see how that compares to the replicas you are considering.

Thanks apollokre1d :)
GT4, NC :)
Maxie - thanks. I don't think these wheels are available as genuine for the ET67 offset. I may be wrong though.

Of course, they wouldn't be but he may have a set of ET67s kicking around as these were definitely designed for both wide and narrow-bodied cars. Always worth asking the question or dropping him a line.

The lightest 997 OEM 19" is the Carrera S II @ 9.8/10.6 KG

Although the overalll lightest OEM 19"s are Boxster Spyder @ 9.7/10.6 KG - even more impressive as they are another 1/2" wider front and rear than the Carrera II S

The 19" GT3 are a portly 11.4/14.5 KG (but are a wide 12" at the back)

Mmm.. Will those Boxster Spyder wheels fit my GT3?

Are they 12" at the back?

(I realised what a stupid question that last question was as I was typing it but decided to leave it in for comical effect).

My genuine turbo wheels will be up for sale in June after I have my new wheels put on. If you are interested let me know. They are on my car which has only covered 15k miles. are are mint.

What wheels have you decided to replace your current ones with?
