New Breakfast Club for petrol heads starts 4th March at the Vitra Cafe at Goodwood Circuit. Every first Sunday of the month thereafter.

I'm going to go along and see what it's all about - anyone else?

Hi Phil

No connection to the event. I run a hotel & Country Club at Goodwood, so knew about the idea of setting this up, which I thought was pretty cool. A sort of thinking man's Ace Cafe!?

Thought I'd post it up and see if we can try and get a few of Germany's finest to try and outnumber the Ferrari's that always seem to decend on Goodwood.

BTW what IS Japan's finest rally marque? (Sorry, if it wasn't made in Europe, I probably don't know what it looks like - except for the Mitsubishi that nicked me on the M23)

I will do my best to be there. The only problem is if it is raining and muddy as I think you park on the grass. My car is low profile so I would be concerned getting stuck in the mud.

Arrived at 1030 after a 'getting out of bed drama' and started to queue for a big fry-up to find out that it was a 2 hour wait to get inside the café or a 20 minute wait outside. Outside it was then –
coats were duly buttoned up and knives & forks were at the ready. I don’t think they appreciated how busy it was going to be, and hopefully they’ll get their act together in time for the next one.
There were a good mix of cars, but unfortunately by the time I had finished eating most had disappeared and I was freezing cold.




Anyway, it was enjoyable and we had a good run out. I would go again, but I’d arrive about 0830-0900 next time. Any takers for the next one: 2 Apr 06 Italian Sportscars!

Same frozen fingers here - my camera had to be thawed out, thought there were some great cars though - especially the De Lorean dressed up like the "back to the future" car - superb! Ferrari SuperAmerica droolable as was the F430 with a 944 registration (quite a trade-up that).
