Hi everyone - I am so excited for being part of the club of happy 993 owners... i just bought a beautiful 4s in France. Amazing buying experience near Calais with a large choice of air cooled - if anyone is interested.

Quick question to the audience. I'm not sure that the gear knob (see picture) is OE... would any of you know? I'm not a huge fan and i'm tempted to "upgrade" to OE in that case, back to the blue leather or blue/aluminium one.
Thanks everyone

I've got exactly the same knob in my 993. Definitely OEM fitment for the Turbo & GT2, quite possibly for the C4S too.

Definitely not factory standard for the Turbo or C4S.

This was the OE gearshift/gearknob fitted to the Carrera RS from factory (also present in 993 GT cars).
993424075308YR - Google that part number and you'll see...

I think you'll find that the turbo and 4S gear knob had the engraved aluminium shift pattern insert in the top.
