I took delivery of my c2s tip gen 1 last night and decided to give it a wash and polish today.

Whilst washing it, we had a delivery and the guy came on to the drive with a parcel and said to me:

"Are they in?"

I looked at him and realised that he thought I was the "spare hand", so I replied

"I'll just get madam"

Wifey came to the door, signed for the parcel and off went the chap.

I said to mrs, either I look like a tramp or too young to own a porsche.

She replied "both"

:?

Perceptions of Porsche owners are hilarious.

I had a Land Rover Defender, which I'd invested (spent) a lot of money on.
As soon as I rocked up at work in my 911 they asked if I'd won the lottery.

You're either loaded or up to your eyes in debt, if you own a 911.

Narrow minds. I don't say anything, I don't particularly care what people think....

So, when can you come and wash mine?

:p

That is so true..I drive around in the 996 turbo and people look at me like I have just dropped out of a dogs arse..yet I drive around in my concours mk2 escort Mexico and people give me the thumbs up and big smiles everywhere I go..yet the escort is worth at least 5k more than the 911.. It's a funny old world!
