Finally got one

I finally bought my first 911. I was asking in another post about colour. The car I bought is a 79 sc. I think the colour is casablanca beige. It is the exact same colour as the sc in the 911 + Porsche world supplement covering the 74-89 cars. I think it was in the september issue. Can anyone tell me what the colour actually is. My car is a 930/03. Im delighted.

928 code for the right year should be the same. Code is either in porsche maintenance booklet, or on chasis plate in luggage compartment.

Colour code.


You should find the code in one of the following three places.


1. a small siver sticker on the left side inner front wing (behind the carpet), this should have the correct colour name and code.


2. the code on the white label under the 'trunk' lid. This will say something like 'L ???' or


3. same sticker in the service book.


If you go to a local body shop ask for their porsche colour charts for that age.


You could also get it through a friendly main dealer, who would be able to get you the actual build sheet/spec for your car too. Sometimes there is a charge for it.

Yes, I am well pleased with it. There is a tiny bit of rust in the engine compartment, just where the lid closes on the sill. I have been waiting 22 years to get it, (since I was 5). Thanks for the help guys.

The paint code is 463, which is Casablanca Beige Metallic. I think its a great colour for the car. It has brown leather interior (full) and the optional Sports pack. The electric windows have packed in, and its not just a fuse problem Ill check it out this weekend.
