Did you see "Recorded on V Car" reference...

Think that means "vehicle condition alert register" if so the car has a history eg accident, theft and recovery or flooding.

Believe there are two categories which can be put back on the road:

Category C : Example : Severe accident damage.

Category D : Example : Theft Recovery/Flooding/minor/moderate accident damage.

Might explain why the car has been modified as something had to be done anyway !!

Ahh no didn't spot that, I just saw something shiny and pretty and started day dreaming... It was a slow day today... (As they usually are)... :D

Not aimed at you my friend, just that we often see shiny metal on here that ain't always what it purports to be - "All that glitters..." etc.

Well it certainly looks the part. Right money, right punter and all that.

Just because a car has been recorded doesn't make it a bad car. If its been repaired properly then I do not see the problem. The history has been reflected in the price I'm sure.

Oh just saw the link to the advert. It's not cheap, I don't think I'd pay that even if it wasn't recorded.

I completely agree but all too often we see unscrupulous sellers deliberately hiding the murky history of their wares. This guy has at least admitted it has a record, but if I were selling I'd be much more updront and forthcoming about the history, including before and after shots, receipts and details of the repairs. Accidents happen, so being open and honest about how it was fixed afterwards shouldn't deter a potential buyer, in fact quite the opposite - simply hiding 'v-car' in plain sight is IMO a poor attempt at concealing the truth to snare an unsuspecting victim... :nooo:

Even poor Roro was almost duped until he took his riviera tinted glasses off, bless :bandit:

+1 Surely underneath it is a Carrera 2 Tip 56plate with 65k and on V-Car, that can't be worth £20k, how much is the body kit worth to a buyer?
