F1 2024

Rd 5. China. Another Verstappen benefit in another largely processional race.

Looking forward to the WEC at Imola later. Ferraris 1,2,3 in qualifying. Porsches start 4th and 5th. Live on Eurosport 2 from 11.30. Race starts at noon.

Yes, with MV out front, some of the energy of the race was lost.
Thought Norris did a good overall job. :)
Would really like to see Porsche rise to the challenge at Imola.

Let me be the first to say on here "Well done Lando- Miami 2024" (y)

At last, a race this season worth sticking with until the end.
Lots of toing and froing throughout the field, and some good hard racing.
A brilliant result for Lando - he beat the Red Bulls, and everyone else, fairly and squarely.
What a win!!!!!

Yes, congrats to Lando. He drove well and, crucially, the safety car came at the right time for him and his car was good enough to not be caught on the restart.
McLaren have a competitive car this year with a driver they seem happy with. Pleased for him and so it seems are his peers and the paddock in general. Well done him.
Over at Mercedes, supposedly offering to triple Verstappen's wages to entice him to jump into their car sounds desperate. It's all about the car isn't it, and the Mercedes isn't it any more and hasn't been for a while.

finally Mclaren with some pace

All about the car. Was ever thus. Congratulations to Lando, well deserved but a bit of luck regards the safety car. Granted he had the pace on the hard tyre.
