Exhaust tip rattle

Hi all, I've noticed that my passenger side exhaust tip on my 99.1 C2S is rattling under light load/low revs.

I've taken it off and the car doesn't make a sound so it's definitely the tip that's causing it.

Any ideas how to rectify it, I've got extended warranty but guessing it wouldn't be covered?

Mine was rattling then the chrome cover decided to drop off, there is a little weld underneath on a tab that failed , next time its at the garage I will get them to weld it, however for now I put a small bolt through it, the first time I refitted it it rattled like hell, and I realised that some of the several tabs on the inside had bent so it was not fitting flush, I think there are about 5 tabs, bent them back in place so its a tight fit when putting the cover back on , I was going to just buy a new tip then I saw the price !

Yep I looked at a new pair as my OCD wouldn't just let me replace one! And that's why I started the thread.

I've got it resolved, so my rattle was being caused by the inner pipe on the inner tip moving around. I assume the welds had failed so I took it to a local garage to get rewelded.

Glad you got it sorted, crazy price for new tips !
