I have an early 911 2.7 and was looking for advise as to the Engine oil and what would be best to use.
Thanks

The right brand 20W50 oil will be fine 👍🏻

Just in case you’re not aware a lot of modern oils have a very low ZDDP content (Zinc DialkylDithiophophate) this makes them more eco friendly and fine for modern multi valved engines with lower valve spring pressures and roller tappets.
Not ideal on these old engines with flat rockers and higher spring rates, causes pitted cams and rockers, ideally a ZDDP content between 1200-1400 ppm would be a good choice.
Most of these modern fully synthetic oils are nearer 800 ppm
This article explains it but there’s loads written about it if you search online.
