Just found this on a rennline post. Is this US cars only or also RoW not seen this before.

Hi,

The Kinematic toe arm and the lower wishbone were revised after 1995, the assumption is for hardness of the rubber in the bushings.

However mostly this is a Rennlist myth methinks. Porsche also had a TSB covering a few pre production parts fitted to a very few cars. See:
