Hi all first post here! I have found this website very helpful while searching for my first porsche. I have decided to go for a 966tt. Went to view this one yesterday at a company called hurst cars. The owner was called max and was very friendly and helpful. After a long test drive I decided to go away and think about it. I was just wondering if anyone on here knows of the car and could let me kno if its a ' good' example of a turbo?

2 points to mention are that it has been mapped and has an upgraded exhaust and whilst on the test drive I put my foot down full on the accelerator in 6th and it felt like the rear wheels span up slightly? Is this common? The roads wernt wet but it was a cold morning and the road may have been slightly damp? I thought maybe this was due to running extra horsepower than it should?

Any help would b greatly appreciated

Did the yellow traction control light on the dash come on? If it is running 520hp on the standard clutch I would worry about how long that would last (because it won't last). It looks nice from the photos but I would go with a full PPI with rev range check.

There was no yellow traction light that came on? Clutch slip sounds the most obvious possibility! Would I be right in thinking I could replace it with a gt2 clutch? What's the possible cost of clutch and fitting? Thanks

Clutch was replaced 30k ago, sounds like the extra ponys have worn it out

Talk to Ken at 9e. If it's pushing 520bhp on a standard clutch it won't last 5 mins.

Go for a Sachs 890nm clutch.
