It's dark now so no chance of a picture yet but I have just finished making and fitting grills to the area where the fog lights sit. By fitting grills in this area you can prevent leaves and road debris from entering and causing damage to your radiators. It also stops large stones from hitting the fins of the radiator.
We all know of the dangers of leaving leaves etc to accumulate and then rot the radiators.

The grills were made out of this: halfords Mesh Grill

It's made of aluminium and therefore it won't rust. One of the prerequisites for me was that I didn't want to take the bumper off to fit them and this material was ideal. Some suppliers are charging up to £500 for grills which to me is crazy for what they are.

First, I made a cardboard template which was a bit of trial and error until I got it right. Then I simply cut the mesh with tin snips and fed it behind the plastic fins. It is the held in place with very thin zip ties. I am really picky about the external look of the car but you can honestly not tell that the zip ties are there, if they are strategically placed. It took me about 2 hours for the full job.

Pics to follow.....

The best thing about the way I did it is I didn't have to take the bumper off :thumb:
