Looks like a weekend of decent temperatures, sun and low wind so i'm going to spend the time detailing the car i think!

Plan is to take wheels off one by one and deep clean, strip wax, clay bar and clean thoroughly on Sat and then to spend Sunday with a DA polisher, single stage correction and polish (Scholl S20 Black) and then wax........hopefully by the end some decent paint correction and supershine/protection.

quite a bit of work but not much else to do currently and saves a fair whack than paying someone to do a 20% better job for big money :dont know:

Have fun and don't forget ...

:useless:

Done mine over the winter 👌 done my first 50miler of the season today, had to give her a dry wash when I got back, was a epic run! 😎

yes will post some pics once done. Did this about 3-4 years ago and made a decent difference, still looks good today but some more swirls to get at (carefully...). Already used G-technik C4 on the tired plastics and they do come up nearly like new (front scuttle panel etc)

also need front and rear bumper respray to complete, I have a well known paint shop (Riviera) just down the road but will be quite expensive I imagine, I'm assuming not much/any change for 1K :?:

I can recommend Gtechniq C5 on your wheels! :thumb:

Enjoy! We expect some before and after pics! :worship:

some before pics, not sure it'll be easy to see any difference but who needs an excuse to post pics of the rear of a C4S :)

A good weekend of detailing on the car, wheels took some time to take off and clean after i assume 16years worth of build up.

Body work came up very well and most small 'spider webs' removed. Compound worked well but may gave added too much as i went along as started to dust up alittle. Neighbors must think I'm mad seeing me wash the same car about 6 times over 2 days.....

I'd reckon about 80% of what a pro-detailer could do with the same time and now nicely waxed with 'purple haze'. Good enough for me without the spend of a pro-detail :thumb: some pics to follow but difficult to really see the difference unless in the flesh. Another job off the list atleast!
