Dealers/specialist in Northampton area

Hi,

I'm currently investigating a 993 C2 for sale at Templetons Garage which is in Rushden, Northants. Does anyone have any experience, positive or negative of this outfit ?

Does anyone know of a decent specialist in the area (Northants) who does a reasonably priced PPI. The OPC at Silverstone want to charge £211 inc VAT which isn't too excessive but I just wondered if there were other alternatives.

I'm actually up in Newcastle upon Tyne, so if anyone know of specialist up in the North East (other than Tom Fergeson) I'd appreciate some advice/recommendations on this too.

I've used Templeton's for Porsche servicing and found them to be excellent. They serviced my 3.2 a few yesrs back and have done some work on my 964 which I have now.

Their labour rate is only £40 per hour which is reasonable. They replaced my oil pipes last month and did a good job. There was a minor drip when I got the car back and they took it in and re-sealed it with no quibbles.

Their servicing prices seem reasonable - about £350 for a 12k service on my 964. I don't know of any other garage who know Porsches in the area, apart from the OPC.

The 993 is still for sale (is it the blue one for £24995?) and seems good value, so why it hasn't moved I don't know. Haven't dealt with them for used cars, so can't give any advice on that.
