Damage to rear disc

Hi, while changing wheels this afternoon, as current set coming off to be reshod with PS4S on Wednesday, I noticed the following? Is this normal? I can't think it is - looks to be both inner edges of the one disc, this is driver side rear of 997.1 turbo. Where the chunk is missing it is both sides.

Maybe not damage , perhaps a casting issue when it was made ?

Anyone seen anything like this before , should I change the disc ?

Thanks

That's normal, no need to worry - been there on all the 997 discs I've changed over the years.

Those are dynamic balancing marks, assuming it is the flat bits you are talking about.

Cheers guys, I never knew - changed probably 4 set over the years 996/997 never noticed.

Every day is a learning day - love it - thanks
