is by far the best........ ever

I've always been a fan.. as it's a car program.. but until recently they have pretty much been 'all the same'

but the current series, have realy pushed the look & feel of it to a new level...

as demonstrated by sunday's show which by far the best one ever... it's just the way they do it...

the BBC may have lost the plot sometimes but when it comes to the current Top Gear they really know how to put on the show...

with an assist to "5th gear" for making 'them' try harder !

I still dont know why James and Richard waited an hour for their connection at Martigny. A journey I've done many times and never had that wait. Very entertaining observations from James re the french though. JC's reaction to the vibration in the 612 was also very funny. Even Mrs Hendo was entertained and not a jungle, ball-room dancer, cr*p crooner, makeover specialist in sight. I agree - its good telly

Very entertaining - what speed did JC say he was doing when he got pulled? 190? Or did I mis-hear??

%th gear repeated some good stuff last night as well including the DB9 and the GT3 vs helicopter - slightly silly but good fun

He had a bit of a pop at the Swiss when driving through Switzerland - said they didn't like noise or speed??

He's absolutely spot on. Fines are means based (at least they were when I lived there). A trader I worked with once got fined CHF 5,000 which at the exchange rate at the time equalled £2,700. Another American friend got caught speeding on the notorious section around Berne/Friebourg. He was fined and had to hand his license in for 1 month. As he was off to the states for a 3 1/2 week holiday soon after, he asked if the suspension could be delayed for 10 days. They said no problem so he served his ban while away on holiday. Very accomodating folks the Swiss!!

:D

Speeding fines are still means tested Hendo. The size of the fines are legendary.

The Swiss are not big fans of speed or noise - Harleys sold here have the exhausts plugged - but of course the plugs tend to fall out after purchase.
