Crap Radio reception

There were a few post a while back complaining about radio reception especially when using brakes, switches etc. After two trips back to OPC west london mine's been sorted. I drive a boxster, while saving for a 996, but this should apply to them also if they have the same fault.

On the first trip back they replaced an isolator and signal booster (or something to that effect) which made no difference, so they said the fault lay with the connection to the aeriel in the front windscreen. This could not be repaired so on the second trip they put a new windscreen in and this has resolved the problem. All in all West London OPC provided good service and did it all under warranty, the only problem being they managed to put my out of date tax disc onto the new screen but lost my in date resident's parking permit!

My 996 was in for the same thing and they fitted a supressor and charged me £50 for the privilage, which I said it all should have been warrenty. I assume your car is on a used car warrenty ? and therefore I should been given the same treatment.

Regards

Johnboy,

Mine was on a approved used warranty, and I was not charged. However I made it clear to them that the fault was present when I got the car so it may have been charged to the sales side. Either way I didn't pay. Hope that helps.
