I remember there was a thread knocking around about GT4 'ring times with the Ruf RGT. Thought i'd give it a bash since i'd decided to play it again after last playing it about a year ago.

Managed an 8min 31 on my very first attempt (honest!).

I think that was me. Have used it a bit since to practise for the ring trips - am down to 7:43 now. WIsh I could go that quick in mine! :(

Good it wasn't a figment of my imagination! My 8:30 involved a large moment on the back straight that would have been very unpleasant in real life.

Was thinking that the RGT is kinda similar to my car and thus good practice for a venture out there.

Poo - Did you find that it helps with learning the corners for real?

It did help with learning the corners. But only the basic line and direction. The actual ring is a bit more complicated and you feel the slopes and cambers much more!
