cheapest freight carrier to Europe?

I'm trying to send a few things from UK to Europe, but prices are ridiculously high!

For example I just sent a package from one side of the US to the other for $20. For the same package to go from London to Copenhagen via parcel force is $60, and it's a fraction of the distance!

Other companies have quoted close to $200!!!

There must be a cheaper way. I could get a return flight on Ryanair and hand deliver the package for less than most of these clowns are asking.

There is no urgency but I would like it by next week. Any suggestions?

Phil,

before you had suggested parcels2go, I had already emailed about 6 companies, including them.

They are the ones ones to have responded so they got the job.

Up to a certain weight limit of around 25kg (iirc) they have a flat rate of £29.38 to Europe.

I thought that was pretty reasonable! Less than post (£40 and requires you to go to post office and queue etc) and a LOT less than other courier companies. They might not be as fast but when it's not critical that it's overnight they seem like the mob for the job. I'll let you know if the package actually arrives!

It doesn't look like they do the reverse though i.e. pick up in ROW and deliver to UK.
