i see several BMW 840`s and 850`s for sale for peanuts, complete with low miles and full BMW history and i think "hmmmm", but then Mrs Fuchs says " no chance Lance".

why not?

i think they are cool and certainly pack a punch, but somehow unless you are a doorman or pro body builder (btw i am neither) they are percieved by the gen public as not cool................

is it the 928 syndrom ?

tech advance but complete with running costs that could cripple Switzerland?.

Gentlemen (and Nic) - your thoughts please.

What other cars should be cool, but are not?

And why not?

My 735I.

Head gasket failed 200 miles from home - 200 miles in a truck with a guy who had the personality of a truck driver.

We made it to Lemans in this one - 3 guys and all the luggage/camping gear and full of wine on the way back. I actually really enjoyed this car - fast, comfortable, great aircon and sound - wonderful auto gearbox with manual flicking option. :)
