Unfortunately I picked up a nasty dent in my rear wing today thanks to an inconsiderate driver opening the door on my car

Any thoughts on if it can be fixed by a dent magician and what it might cost to put right? Really annoying as its in the curve of the arch and I have to pay for it thanks to their bad parking

Cheers Winny

Try Dent master. They sorted mine out for £70 and it looks great. Plus if they can't fix it they don't charge.

+1 for Dentmaster. If they can get access to the underside of the ding there's a good chance it can be massaged out. Best of luck.

utter cnuts these people that are so inconsiderate. No way does that result in a minor tap with another door. There's some force behind that :pc:

It boils my piss :wack:

Knowing now what a good dent man can do, your damage looks like an easy job.

Whereabouts are you?

I can't see it...your paintwork is too shiny :thumb:

Hope they can get it sorted out. Basically when I came back there was a 4x4 parked very close it looks like their rear door had been opened to get a baby out of a baby seat and the corner of their rear door where the door goes around the wheel arch looks to have gone over the top of my arch until they could open it no more!

No note or acknowledgement so what can you do tracking them down they would only denie it so just need to get it sorted now.

I'm located in Eastbourne and work in Crawley so somere in Sussex or on the a22 would be handy if anyone has any recommendations

Cheers Winny

In my opinion because the paint is not cracked the dent guy should be able to fix this for you.

I hate parking in car parks as probably most of us do but I had my 996 front end painted then had to go to the shops (within 24hrs) my wife laughed when I parked in the bottom corner of the car park but when I came back a taxi was up against my number plate and had broken the plate holder and scratched the paint.
To say I was angry was an understatement but I think I scared him so much he threw some money at me and drove off (the scratch polished out and the plate holder was cheap so happy days).

That should pop back out quite easily - sharp creases are much more difficult but from the pics I think your's should be ok.

Accidents happen and carpark dings are just a fact of life, but it really grips my sh!t when whoever does it (and they always know that they have) they don't have the courtesy or balls to man up and leave their details :nooo:

A few years ago some sh!thouse tw@t scumbag decided to scrape a shopping trolley along the full length of my car (thankfully not my porker ) - what a complete cun...

I'm convinced that some people know why I choose to park away from anyone else, so park near to me just to wind me up!

I still park away from anyone else, even though my 911 is long gone.
It must look a bit precious of me to park an 8 year old Sharan in an end bay, 200 yards from the shop entrance.

only option is to park like a cnut and take up 2 spaces, AND as far away from everyone else as possible. Not easily done in public car parks or multi storey's which is why I never take my car anywhere I don't know I can park it well.

Had a near identical dent in my Boxster, http://www.dent-technique.co.uk/ dealt with it by drilling a tiny hole in the inner wing and tapping it out, then using a coal chisel on the painted side to get the panel back to perfect. The hole in the inner wing was plugged and sealed.
Cost me about £45 IIRC.

where panels are double skin'd
there is a way where you use a silicon glue to glue a plastic pole to the dent and pull it out. then you tap the pole and it falls ok, amazing to see done
worth asking as some parts of the rear wing are difficult to access
remember if you take out the rear lights you can access between skins

this isn't done as part of the dentmaster franchise so worth asking / searching for
