Credit where it's due, Chris is everything previous posters had said. Top man with amazing knowledge.
Just had a major service plus brake fluid and belts etc. on my recently purchased 996 turbo. Asked him to check it over and advise on works required as well. Got a few little jobs to do in the new year and I'll definitely be taking it to him annually to keep on top of the preventative stuff he recommends, really feel you can trust him implicitly.
When he was doing the plugs he noticed an issue with coil packs that needed replacement but couldn't get hold of me to ask about doing them. Other garages I'd have thought...yeh right...but he explained the additional labour required to replace at a later date made it a 'do now' job.
He showed me around the cars he was working on, a 964, 997 turbo cab with TPS issues and talked about the different ways the turbo actuator problems appear between 996/997 and preventative work he does. Mentioned a whole lot more stuff that went over my head but his enthusiasm was infectious.
In summary, my initial experience of Porsche has been very positive due not only to the car but also having someone local like Chris who you feel will look after your car properly and where you pay a fair price for his knowledge and skill and not fancy buildings and coffee.
